is a playwright and screenwriter from Portland, OR. Their plays include: Masculinity Max (Public Theater Studio production, Pride Plays ’20 reading); Galatea (WP Theatre Pipeline Festival); A Walrus in the Body of a Crocodile (Clubbed Thumb, Williamstown Theater Festival)Whisper’s Gone (Theatre Exile); Double Atlas (workshop at Playwrights Realm); Sensitive Guys (InterAct Theater and numerous theaters and schools around the country and Australia) and How to Live on Earth (Colt Coeur). MJ has held residencies at the MacDowell Colony, New Museum and SPACE on Ryder Farm and is currently a resident playwright at New Dramatists and a member of Colt Coeur. Jeffrey founded Tectonic Theater Project with Moisés Kaufman. He was nominated for a Tony Award for 33 Variations (Best Play) and an Emmy Award as a writer of the HBO film adaptation of The Laramie Project. Laramie won the Humanitas Prize, the National Board of Review, and the GLAAD Media Award, and was the opening night selection of the Sundance Film Festival. Jeffrey’s play The Very Extraordinary Mr. Law was presented at the Colorado New Play Festival and ZaCH Theater in Austin. He teaches Moment Work, Tectonic’s method for devising theater.
Ming is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter from Columbus, Ohio and the first Asian woman to be nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Play in its history. Her play Usual Girls (3 Drama Desk Nominations including Outstanding Play, John Gassner Award Nomination, Hull Warriner Award Finalist, Relentless Award Honorable Mention, New York Times Critic’s Pick) enjoyed a double-extended, sold out run at Roundabout Underground in NYC in the Fall of 2018. Her work has been developed and/or presented by Roundabout Theatre Company, New York Theatre Workshop, The New Group, The Kennedy Center, Ensemble Studio Theater, Here Arts Center, The Flea, The Wild Project, New Ohio, Soho Playhouse, The Gene Frankel Theater, FringeNYC, among others. Most recently, she wrote Finish The Fight for the New York Times, a virtual play celebrating the unsung heroes of women’s suffrage. Awards and fellowships include: 2017 Kilroy's List, NYTW 2050 Fellowship, Youngblood Member, The Kennedy Center's Paul Stephen Lim Playwriting Award Recipient, The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center NPC Finalist, Princess Grace Award Semi-Finalist, Doric Wilson Independent Playwright Award Finalist. Ming is currently under commission at Annapurna Theatricals, and the Roundabout Theatre Company. In Television and Film, Ming is currently developing Emma Cline’s NYT Best Seller THE GIRLS for Hulu and HORSE by Amy Bonnaffons for Big Beach. She is also a Supervising Producer on the Alice Birch Amazon show Dead Ringers starring Rachel Weisz. Most recently Ming adapted one of the installments for an anthology show based on the works of Joan Didion for Big Beach and Hulu. Previously, she was on Hulu/Carlton Cuse’s Locke and Key and Netflix’s Gypsy.
Ngozi is a playwright, storyteller, and most recently a 2020 Steinberg Playwright Award winner. Her newest play will premiere at The Atlantic Theatre in 2021. Previous productions include Good Grief (Vineyard Theatre in NYC / Center Theatre Group in LA) and The Homecoming Queen (sold-out world premiere run at the Atlantic Theatre). Good Grief was on the Kilroys List 2016 and a semi finalist for the Princess Grace Award, and won the Humanitas Award. The Homecoming Queen was on the Kilroys List 2017 and was a Leah Ryan Finalist. Her play Nike… (Kilroys List 2017) was workshopped at The New Black Fest in conjunction with The Lark and The Strand Festival in conjunction with A.C.T and Space on Ryder Farm.
Ngozi also has commissions with NYU, The Old Globe, Two Rivers Theatre, The Atlantic Theatre, and Steppenwolf.
Anyanwu has also received residencies from LCT3, Space on Ryder Farm, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, The New Harmony Project, New York Stage and Film and Page 73. She attended Point Park University (BA) and received her MFA in Acting from University of California, San Diego.
Thomas has been called "one of the most deliberately and effectively confrontational American Playwrights of his generation" by the New York Times. He recently served as a Consulting Producer on the Emmy and Peabody award winning mini-series When They See Us. He has had development deals with HBO/HARPO, FX/PLAN B, and SUPERDELUXE, among others He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, the PEN Literary Award, the Prince Prize, a Foundation for Contemporary Arts award, and a Doris Duke Implementation Grant. . His plays have been produced to great acclaim in the United States and in Europe. Interviews, reviews, and articles about his work have frequently appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Time Out New York, The Village Voice, The Chicago Tribune, Paper Magazine, and American Theater Magazine. He is a Professor in the MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage program at Northwestern University.
Bess made her Broadway debut in 2019 with her play Grand Horizons, for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Other theatre includes: Small Mouth Sounds – OCC Award, Make Believe – OCC Award, Continuity, American Hero, Barcelona, Touched, In, Cats Talk Back, Pretty Filthy. Her plays have been produced at theatres in NY, around the US and internationally. Awards include the Sam Norkin Special Drama Desk Award, the Georgia Engel Playwriting Award, a MacDowell Fellowship and inclusion on Hollywood’s Black List of Best Screenplays. Wohl is an Associate Artist with The Civilians, an alumna of Ars Nova’s Play Group, and holds new play commissions from Manhattan Theatre Club and Williamstown. She has also written for film/television, and is a graduate of Harvard and the Yale School of Drama.
Moisés is the founder and Artistic Director of Tectonic Theater Project, a Tony- and Emmy-nominated director and playwright, and a 2015 recipient of the National Medal of Arts. Mr. Kaufman’s Broadway directing credits include the revival of Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song, the revival of The Heiress with Jessica Chastain, 33 Variations (which he also wrote) starring Jane Fonda (5 Tony nominations); Rajiv Joseph’s Pulitzer Prize finalist Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo with Robin Williams; and Doug Wright’s Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play I Am My Own Wife with Jefferson Mays. His play The Laramie Project (which he wrote with the Tectonic Theater Project company) is among the most performed plays in America. Kaufman also co-wrote and directed the HBO film adaptation of The Laramie Project, which received two Emmy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Writer. Bianca Norwood (they/them) is a gender fluid human, actor, and mover from Fresno, California. They graduated from the Pacific Conservatory of The Performing Arts in 2017 and will graduate from The Juilliard School in June 2021. This is Bianca’s Off-Broadway Premiere. They have served as an acting teacher for young kids in the states and abroad, and are a proud speech and debate coach. They hope to be an active part of imagining new worlds and Queering old ones. Brandon J. Ellis (he/him) was most recently seen in the first national tour of The Play That Goes Wrong as Trevor. On Broadway he most recently originated the role of Davy Zlatic in Bandstand. He was also in the original Broadway casts of Once and the 07' revival of Company. On the West End he played the Bank Manager in Once. Off Broadway he has been seen in Balls...the musical (writer/actor) and others. On TV you can catch him in The Crew, Iron Fist, Dietland, 30 rock, and others. Brandon was the spokesperson for Firehouse Subs and Policy Genius and can be seen in several other commercials. UNCG-BFA in acting. She is most known for playing New Media on the hit STARZ series, American Gods. She can also be seen in TV shows like Mr. Mayor (NBC), 9-1-1 (Fox), Tommy(CBS), Shameless (Showtime), Timeless (NBC), Adam Ruins Everything (TruTV), The Mysteries of Laura (NBC), Austin & Ally (Disney) and Cassandra French (Fullscreen); Films like Bad Match (Netflix), Spa Night (Sundance Premiere) and the Disney reboot of Freaky Friday. Shavanna Calder (she/her) is an actor, anti-racist educator, writer, creative director, stylist, human. As a performer she recently completed a run of The Legend of Georgia McBride at Milwaukee Rep & Arizona Theatre Company. Eric Ulloa (he/him) is a 2020 American Theatre Wing Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist and a 2020 Kleban Prize Award Finalist. Eric is the author of 26 Pebbles, which had its world premiere at The Human Race Theatre Company. The play was featured in American Theatre Magazine, The NY Times and won the Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Award for 2017. 26 Pebbles was named one of the Top Ten Plays of 2017 by Samuel French and one of the top produced plays nationally of 2018. Eric is the librettist of the musical, Passing Through, which had its World Premiere at Goodspeed Musicals in Summer 2019. Eric is the writing assistant to Oscar Winner Alex Dinelaris on his upcoming screen adaptation of Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse’s Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical. Eric wrote the Viva Broadway: Hear Our Voices special, writing for such luminaries as Lin Manuel Miranda, Antonio Banderas, Chita Rivera and many more. Eric is the author of the play Reindeer Sessions. Eric is the co-creator of Meet the Alpha Beats for Nickelodeon Noggin. On the other side of the footlights, Eric was in the Original Broadway Company of On Your Feet: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Eric has appeared on The 2016 Tony Awards, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and A Capital Fourth.
Tricia Alexandro (she/her) is an actor, writer and native New Yorker. She was last seen in the world premiere of Lyle Kessler’s PERP at The Barrow Group Theatre. Other credits include We, the Invisibles (Humana Festival), The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe (Cape May Stage), The Unrepeatable Moment (The Barrow Group Theatre), In Darfur (WAM/Shakespeare & Co.) and The Cleaners (Samuel French Play Festival Winner). She has written and performed two solo shows, Snapshots and The Family Jewels, at The Barrow Group Theatre. Her TV appearances include recent guest star roles on Bull and Law and Order: SVU. Tricia trained under Seth Barrish and Lee Brock at The Barrow Group, under Bob Krakower at Manhattan Film Institute, and at Playhouse West. She is a member of the Labyrinth Theater Company’s Intensive Ensemble and holds a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Binghamton University. Andrew Keenan-Bolger (he/him)- Philippe in Envy (ENVY) - is an actor, director, author and filmmaker. He starred as “Jesse Tuck” in Tuck Everlasting on Broadway (Drama League Award nominee). He created the role of "Crutchie" in the Original Broadway Cast of Newsies (Outer Critics Circle nominee) and in the record-breaking Newsies: The Broadway Musical film. Donna Carnow (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based pole dancer, movement artist, choreographer, teacher, performer, pole champion, and aerialist. Originally from the Chicago-land area, Donna received her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated as a James Scholar with honors. She now teaches pole dancing full-time at NYC’s largest aerial dance school, Body & Pole, and has showcased her art across the country in concert halls, nightlife spaces, zoom rooms, and in national pole competitions. Donna has been recognized and awarded for her experimental integration of her post-modern dance background with pole. She holds the title of Pole Sport Organization Central Pole Champion of 2019 (Chicago) and was ranked in the top 10 women competing in US Nationals (San Mateo, CA) that same year. Donna regularly performs with the aerial dance companies Pole Speak and AERA in New York City. She has also performed in Pole Expo’s “Pole Classique'' at the Hard Rock Hotel (Las Vegas), International Pole Convention (New Orleans), DROM (New York), Pole Play (Brooklyn), Pole Theatre USA (Atlanta), Bates Dance Festival (Lewiston, ME), Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (Urbana, IL), Links Hall (Chicago), among others. When not flying through the air, she shares her passion for teaching as a Master Trainer with ElevatED Education Pole + Flexibility Training programs and is the Open Performance Coordinator at Movement Research in NYC.
Shuga Cain (she/her) is an international drag sensation and fan favorite from Season 11 of the Emmy winning reality tv series, RuPaul’s Drag Race. The self proclaimed 8th deadly sin, Shuga Cain is also the stage name of Jesus Martinez Jr from New York, an actor and classically trained vocalist with a Master’s Degree in voice from DePaul University in Chicago. They have appeared in numerous campaigns from Pepsi to MAC Cosmetics, toured the globe gagging the children, and are now setting their sights on giving the NYC theater scene a Shuga high! In her free time you can find Shuga not only serving cakes, but in the kitchen baking them. An avid baker, she is the host of Gimme Some Shuga, her own baking show on WOWPresents Plus. She’s thrilled to be sinning each and every night with the cast of 7DS! Now who’s ready for a few cavities?
Cynthia Nixon is an Emmy, Tony, and Grammy Award-winning actor who in 2018 ran for Governor of NY State, placing issues of racial, economic and gender inequality front and center. Nixon will next play Miranda in HBO Max’s SEX AND THE CITY sequel AND JUST LIKE THAT... Next year she stars alongside Christine Baranski in the HBO drama THE GILDED AGE, from DOWNTON ABBEY creator Julian Fellowes. Nixon recently starred opposite Sarah Paulson in Ryan Murphy’s wildly popular Netflix series RATCHED. A lifelong New Yorker, Nixon has been a longtime advocate for better public school funding, abortion rights and LGBTQ equality.

Ann James has been featured as moderator in "Intimacy and Covid-19" with Theatre Communications Group and HowlRound, "Intimacy and Theatre Practice" with The Los Angeles Theatre Alliance, "How Intimacy Impacts the work of Artistic Directors" with The Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, and "Intimacy and the Pandemic" with Lincoln Center Director's Lab West. She is a published author on HowlRound, and has been a featured Intimacy Specialist on many other theatre affiliated panels during Covid-19. Ann is devoted to making both stage and screen safer places for Black, Indigenous and People of Color to practice their craft. Her company, Intimacy Coordinators of Color has had consultancy relationships with Actor's Equity, ArtsEquity, Theatre Communications Group, and Times Up. Ms. James is pursuing America's first MFA in Performance Pedagogy with emphasis in Afrocentric Intimacy Direction for People of Color at Loyola Marymount University.
